🌱 Building Healthy Habits

Tiny, consistent actions beat big bursts every time.

📖 5-minute read

Habits are behaviours that have become automatic. They form when a cue (trigger) reliably leads to an action, and the action gives a reward. Build the loop — the habit follows.

Two rules that make almost every habit stick. First: start absurdly small. Two press-ups, one page, one deep breath. Small survives bad days. Second: attach the new habit to an existing one ('after I brush my teeth, I…').

Expect to miss. Missing once is normal; missing twice is where habits die. The rule of thumb: never miss twice.
