Socratic questioning is a set of gentle, curious questions that help you examine a thought without attacking it. It's named after Socrates because he taught by asking, not telling.
The core questions: Is this thought a fact or an opinion? What's the evidence? What would I tell a friend? What's the worst / best / most likely outcome? How will I feel about this in a week?
The trick is tone. Ask like a curious friend, not a prosecutor. The nervous system opens to curiosity and closes to correction.
