Jana Burkhardt is the Founder of Recovery Trauma™ and leads the platform’s vision, product development, governance, compliance framework, safeguarding framework, risk management, and strategic direction.
Recovery Trauma™ was created from a combination of lived experience, extensive personal engagement with trauma recovery, and the desire to make trauma-informed information and wellbeing resources easier to access.
Jana is a survivor of significant childhood and adult trauma and has spent many years engaged in her own recovery, including extensive therapy and personal development work in Germany and the United Kingdom.
The idea for Recovery Trauma™ developed through this experience. While looking for support, Jana found that useful resources were often fragmented across different services and platforms. Recovery Trauma™ was created to bring educational information, grounding and regulation tools, wellbeing exercises, reflective practices, community features, and therapist discovery together within one accessible platform.
During its development, Jana created the original concept and platform structure, developed its social media presence and community, created and coordinated educational and wellbeing content, supported website and app development, established partnerships, and developed the platform’s governance and compliance framework.
What began as a personal vision has developed into a growing trauma-informed wellbeing platform designed to help people access information, practical tools, supportive resources, community, and independent therapist discovery.
