Practices & exercises

Name the part

When a strong feeling rises, try saying: 'A part of me feels ___.' Notice the small distance this creates.

Orient to the room

Slowly turn your head and let your eyes land on three neutral or pleasant objects. Remind yourself: 'I am here, in this moment.'

Journal prompts

  • What did I learn I had to be in order to be loved?
  • What would my younger self want to hear from me today?
  • Where am I being kinder to myself than I used to be?
