A letter to your younger self

An optional writing exercise — never required.

  • Card 1

Some people find it useful to write a short letter to themselves at a younger age. Others find this uncomfortable or not for them. Either response is completely fine — you can adapt the exercise, write to "a part of me" instead, or skip it entirely.

  • Card 2

If you would like to try it

    1. 1Choose an ageWhatever feels relevant, or leave it unspecified.
    2. 2Write what you noticedWhat that time seemed to be like for them.
    3. 3Write what you wish they had heardIn plain, warm words.
    4. 4Sign it from you, nowAs the person who made it through.
There is no correct length or tone. A few honest sentences count as much as a full page.

You might explore these in your own words — there is no right answer, and stopping partway is completely fine.
